A California Christmas

Merry Christmas!! Even though Christmas was yesterday. The post-Christmas depression is real. I’m just like, where did the time go? December, hello? Please come back.

I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas and it was whatever you wanted it to be. A chill hang out with family, a bustling day with everyone you know, or a snugglefest on the couch with your dog. As some of you know,  Michael and I stayed in San Diego this Christmas — through no decision of our own. It was my first ever Christmas away from my family and I think I cried only like, 3 times? Lol not to be dramatic, but my family is really close. Especially my brother and I. Even though I had Michael here with me it was really painful to be away from them for this holiday.

^^some of our presents! LOL Shadow’s wine bottle. And THIS is the lipstick. It’s AMAZING.

We were the two lone rangers out here in California, but we tried to make the best of it. On Christmas eve we cooked fun food all day and then went to a Christmas Eve service downtown. The part where the congregation sings silent night with only candles lighting up the whole church is one of my FAV parts of Christmas. Then on Christmas morning we had cinnamon rolls, coffee, and made phone calls to family. Then presents of course. We followed suit with our recent Thanksgiving tradition and went to a resort for a holiday meal.

We went to the Rancho Bernardo Inn and had a Christmas feast. It was nice being out with people and of course the grounds were beyond gorgeous. May as well live up the whole California experience and enjoy the sunny weather.

We ended the day with a rousing game of chess. Sophisticated, amiright?? I got Michael a sweeeet chess board. Michael is a total boss at chess. Literally 4 moves in and he killed my king. I’m like who are you? We then played 3 more times and I held my own a lot more but he still beat me each time… so obviously now I’m trying to become a master at chess so I can beat him.

Okay that’s all for now. TTYL!
