These are a few pictures from when I went home for Thanksgiving. And sorry guys, the quality of these photos is not the best! Haha overhead barn lighting isn’t exactly ideal.
I’ve had my horse Cayuse since I was 13 (jeez can’t believe it’s been 10 years!). Cayuse still lives in Ohio even though I’m in Virginia now. She’s kept at a wonderful boarding barn and my mom lives like 10 minutes away. I hate not having her with me here in VA but we decided to keep her in Ohio for a bunch of reasons.
Growing up with horses and then riding competitively in college, I’ve always worn my equestrian clothes outside of the barn. Sometimes this was on purpose and sometimes it was out of necessity! Occasionally after I’d get done with a riding lesson I’d purposely stay in my breeches and go to class instead of going back to my dorm and changing…I probably smelled like a horse but I just didn’t even care! I loved the whole equestrian aesthetic so much (and still do).
Winter is the ideal time if you’re wanting to experiment with more equestrian inspired pieces. I wear these boots all the time both at the barn and just everyday running errands.
If you’re in the market for equestrian inspired pieces these are a few of the brands I’ve always had luck at:
Ralph Lauren (obvi) | Joules (preppy equestrian, their welly boots are so cute) | Dublin (v authentic) | Hermes (if you’re feeling luxurious…) | Wrangler (for those perfect highwaisted jeans)
