Dresses are my absolute go-to in the summer. Especially floral dresses (obvi).
IMO the key to making a floral dress work is to find a print that feels fresh and modern. I usually go for tiny, repetitive floral prints.
Dresses are so carefree and easy. The right accessories can transform a dress from just an object of clothing into a polished ensemble that has its own theme and melody.
I wanted to add an ethereal quality to this lovely turquoise floral dress-these gold flats and a gold headband helped me achieve this look. As you’ll see pictured below, the flats are entirely charming.
The gold shimmers even in low light and they are perfect for the summer because they aren’t stifling hot! The headband added volume to my unwashed hair and helped me harness a “flower child” vibe.
We took these pics when I was visiting Michael in Corpus Christi, TX! He’s currently here for flight school. I’m visiting for a second before I start an internship in Washington DC. You can find other posts photographed in Corpus HERE and HERE.
Have a lovely week and thanks for stopping the blog! For daily updates, you can find me on INSTAGRAM.
