Hello & Happy New Year!!
I hope you all are well and are having a great start to 2016. I’m super pumped to share one of my favorite recipes with you (yummy & easy green beans)
But first, a life update: in case you haven’t heard, I got MARRIED on January 2! It was the most incredible day ever!
It’s really cliche because every bride says it but the wedding really does go by so fast. It was a destination wedding in Louisiana and such a blast. When we get our photos from the photographer, I’ll be sure to post them.

It’s a new year and at this point I think everyone is still clinging to their healthy and fitness focused New Years resolutions. If you’re looking for a simple but deceivingly tasty vegetable recipe, I’ve got just the one for you.
My family has been making this for years, I made the recipe a ton in college, and now I’m making it as a newlywed for my husband! The great thing about it is it’s healthy, and so savory. Let’s get started.
When you’re at the market grab:
- fresh green beans (don’t even go near the canned stuff)
- pint of cherry tomatoes
- You’ll most likely have the spices at home but in case you don’t, grab basil, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. If you’d like extra flavor than you can throw in dill and lemon pepper.
Cook the green beans in boiling water. Not too long because you’ll want them still a little crisp.
Next, melt the butter. Not margarine, butter. Slice your cherry tomatoes in half and toss them in the skillet with the butter. Add your spices to the butter and tomatoes concoction. Once the tomatoes have gotten a little tender, take your drained green beans and mix them into the skillet.
Toss until they’re well coated with the butter, tomatoes, and delicious spices. YUM. This recipe is so malleable. Change up the amounts of spice according to your taste buds. Personally, I love adding dill and lemon pepper. Now, enjoy!
Have a great day & thanks for reading!
